"PING" - THE HEART STOPPER
The beauty about what I do here is that I have an intense focus on one topic - "The Second Coming" but get to share experiences related to Life, Technology, Sports, Politics and Religion all related to "second comings". Perfect! If the Climbers now lost on New Mt. Hood, Cooper Spur, Oregon are found alive, they are about to have the greatest second coming of their lives.
I recently did a piece on how a simple sound - "Ping" - could save lives. It's true. More and more, we will hear stories of desperation, of hope, of a simple Ping...a Ping that will stop hearts - literally. For those not yet tuned in, there is an ongoing search in brutal weather conditions for three Mountain Climbers now lost for almost a week on Mt. Hood.
On the night of December 12th, after many unsuccesful attempts to lock on to a phone carried by one of the Climbers - finally jubilation...tempered joy. "My heart was in my thoat when I heard that, because if it's true it means Kelly is alive and he has his wits about him". This was a statement of hope made from Kelly James' brother (one of the lost Climbers) at News Conference in Orlando, Florida - all because of a simple Ping.
Mountain Climbing is inherently dangerous. Most Climbers undertand that. Afterall, apparently some of these people are the more accomplished among us. Kelly James is a Landscape Architect, Jerry Cooke a Lawyer and Brian Hall - a Personal Trainer.
These people, in everyday life, in one way or another, may and must have had the world at their feet...but now, we are all hoping that "simple heart stopping sound" will lead to a happy ending...a joyous reunion and a chance for them to once again sniff the fresh air of life and all its wonderful possibilities...a chance for them to embrace their "second coming"!
